My mother is the reason I knew I wanted to work with newborns and their families. I am so grateful that she encouraged me to go after my dream of caring for infants all throughout my life! As I stepped into Birth and Postpartum work, my love and drive shifted onto deeply caring for and supporting the birth parent. As I grew up, my mother was transparent with me around her struggles as a single mother. I felt so impacted by her experience, that I wanted to be a solid support for new families transitioning into parenthood. Working so closely with families allows me to see where I can step in to offer support and guidance.

I feel confident in my care for families because I was certified through two very integrative and robust Doula certification programs in my 5 years of practice. I received my Birth Doula Certification from Natural Resources in San Francisco, CA & my Postpartum Doula Certification through Birthingway College of Midwifery in Portland, OR.

As your Birth Doula I believe anything is possible with the right support! I understand every birth is a primal experience and beautifully unique for each new family. This is the main reason I have devoted myself to this line of heart felt work. Birth is unpredictable. Knowing this, I would like to help guide you through this process. Together we will gather all the information you need, discuss your birth preferences, and practice labor rituals so that we can create a birth experience that is most aligned with your needs!

As your Postpartum Doula I am committed to supporting the newest beginnings as families continue to grow. I believe it is essential to have a good start as a family so that the special care received in the early days postpartum has a ripple effect into the rest of their lives. I love teaching new skills to parents on newborn care so that they may become more competent and secure in caring for the newest edition of their family.
