Category Archives: Postpartum Doulas

Caitlin Beckwith-Ferguson

I was initially drawn to the idea of becoming a postpartum doula because I love the idea of supporting families through one of the most challenging, vulnerable, and beautiful moments in life: raising a newborn. My work experiences as a nanny and preschool teacher have guided me on the path to becoming postpartum doula. As a nanny, I enjoyed forming intimate, trusting relationships with children and families, as a teacher, I loved educating my students through kindness, laughter, and thoughtful conversation. Currently, I am studying to be a marriage and family therapist, and am learning to support people through reflective listening and encouragement.

As your postpartum doula, I will be there to empower you in your choices, take care of you and your baby, keep your household running, and provide you with gentle wisdom and guidance when needed. My background has given me the ability to be open, creative, attentive, thoughtful and caring as a postpartum doula. I bring a soft touch, encouraging energy and enthusiasm to my work. In my free time, I enjoy reading books, hiking, writing plays, and going on romantic dates with my husband. I can be reached at caitlinabf@gmail.com or 641-260-6514.
