Portland, OR (July 19, 2016) – Birthingway College of Midwifery has been chosen as the recipient of an industrial, professional grade scale by Arlyn Scales, a leader in design and development of weighing industry technology.

Looking for a way to give back to the community and do something to support the young minds of today and the future, Arlyn Scales designed a sponsorship program to benefit select high school and university science labs nationwide. After careful consideration, Arlyn Scales has selected Birthingway College as the recipient of one of their Ultra Precision Scales because of the College’s commitment to its students.

Arlyn Scales’ newly patented Ultra Precision Scales are made with Arlyn’s own Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) technology, making them ten times more accurate than a regular scale. The Ultra Precision Scale is also manufactured to endure tough industrial environment, making it the perfect accessory for a science lab.  The new scale will be used in the College’s Plant Medicine courses, where accurate measurement is vital, as well as in other courses.
